HomeValue.us.org has completely updated their database with new real estate value estimates for the new year, the company said yesterday.
“The start of the year is when the government and the private sector announce new real estate value estimates,” a HomeValue.us.org spokesman said. “This means that there is suddenly a lot of new data out there. It took us a fair amount of time, but we now have all of our records fully updated. If someone checked a home value in 2013, this is the time to come back. They may find the results to be quite different.”
HomeValue.us.org had their IT department working around the clock to update the millions of North American real estate records in their system, he said.
“It's a lot of work, but it had to be done to give our customers access to the most accurate records possible,” he said. “This is a volatile time for the market, but it's our business to keep up with those changes.”
This was the most extensive database update ever performed by HomeValue.us.org, he said.
“For the past few years, real estate prices stayed mostly stable,” he said. “But in the past six months, the market has rebounded and home values are on their way up. So more data changed this year than in past years.”
HomeValue.us.org plans to launch a 2014 home buying guide in the near future to reflect the changes in the real estate market, he said.
