Official Trailer for “Horrorscope” Novel Released
Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- McElroy Films once again team up with Brian Evans, the crooner behind the hit song 'At Fenway', the only music video to be filmed at historic Fenway Park. Now Brian has expanded his focus and as a recently published author, Evans reached out to McElroy Films to create a concept and execute a basic 30 second trailer for his thriller novel, ‘Horrorscope', co-written by Helen Marie Bousquet and Mark Andrew Biltz. The trailer will be shown in AMC theaters in the United States for several months promote his book.
McElroy Films previously created a trailer for Brian’s ‘At Fenway’ music video that also aired before movies before the start of the Red Sox 2013 championship season with great success.
“The thrill of seeing your work appear on the silver screen is hard to describe,” mused Evan T. Perry, senior editor at McElroy Films. “Even if it’s not your ultimate goal to be in Hollywood and be a part of the movie scene, it’s something every filmmaker thinks about.”
The book features a psychic that is forced to work for the mafia. As could be expected, things don’t go too well for the psychic and when the entrapped psychic’s death brings forth a violent manifestation of the Zodiac to avenge her mistreatment, they suffer.
“The story is exciting and invites the audience in with very relatable characters based in Brian’s life. The tricky part of producing a book trailer is figuring out how to sell the audience on the story in 30 seconds,” Evan explained. “Book trailers need to have very little imagery that might subtract from how an audience might imagine the book while they’re reading.”
The ‘Horrorscope’ trailer features a ‘star chart’ motif and bold text elements and little else as to not give away any plot devices. The music was customized and composed by Chris Bezold, a frequent partner of McElroy Films over the last year, composing work for such videos as the ‘WWPass’ overview and others.
The book was officially released the beginning of April to great reviews and is available in stores and online. The trailer is now available to watch online now and in theaters soon.
