New York, NY (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Horyou, the Action Oriented Social Network for Social Good, is pleased to announce the first edition of the Social Innovation and Global Ethics Forum 2014 (SIGEF 2014). This event will be taking place in Geneva, Switzerland from October 22nd to 24th, 2014 at the International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG).
On December 18th 2013, Horyou announced the official release of its international public beta platform. Since then, over 300 organizations (nonprofits, foundations and associations) and more than 100 personalities from different countries have joined. The social network’s current membership consists of over 50 nationalities.
Horyou promotes a humanistic approach to technology through an online platform that encourages its members to turn ideas into actions and projects into accomplishments. “As a global social network, we want to offer all Internet users a place where ideas, knowledge, and actions can be shared, heard, and spread. Our goal is to bring the practice of social networking with a purpose to the forefront of digital media. Furthermore, with initiatives like SIGEF 2014, we are actively contributing to promote social good,” says Founder and CEO, Yonathan Parienti.
SIGEF 2014 will provide the proper cultural platform to scale up the stakeholders’ networking strategies, promote public and private partnerships, and implement effective local actions and innovative sustainable solutions. “We are currently contacting sponsors at a global level with recognized CSR commitment and practices. In parallel, we are getting positive responses from various leading organizations and personalities involved in social innovation and global ethics. Horyou’s initiatives and events will continue through the year with the release of its media program for organizations and socially involved participants. As Yonathan comments, “Horyou supports organizations through its platform and media team which produces documentaries that broadcast their causes and actions. In the upcoming weeks, we will be disseminating Horyou’s first series of eight documentaries through various channels (screening, live projections, etc.).”
