International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Announces Models and Actors of the Year
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 06, 2015 -- IMTA recently celebrated the 57th IMTA Convention with an amazing modeling and talent event with many fantastic modeling and talent industry highlights in New York City. Fashion and commercial agents from around the world were at IMTA to network, scout, interview and most importantly, to discover new faces. Talent agents, managers and casting directors came in force to find actors, singers, songwriters and dancers to represent.
IMTA Alum and Nickelodeon star Cameron Ocasio spoke at the Contestant Orientation saying, "I'm 16 years old and I did the IMTA when I was 8 years old. It was a wonderful experience. Without the IMTA, I would not be where I am today. The IMTA has led me to do things like movies, TV Shows, Commercials, Broadway and my most recognized project, the Sam & Cat show on Nickelodeon."
IMTA was pleased to have five YouTube beauty stars join participants at various events as they shot video for their YouTube channels. Together, the YouTube stars have more than 12 million views on their videos per month.
Curtis Davis, international fashion show producer, staged a gorgeous Designer Fashion Show with IMTA Contestants featuring designer Nicole Miller. Nicole Miller herself appeared at the Fashion Show to welcome the Contestants and introduce her Fall collection which looked amazing on the IMTA Alumni models, special guest models and current Contestants who walked. Gorgeous fashions were also shown from designers Heike Jarick, Julius LaCour, and Adrian Alicea.
At the IMTA New York Dance Party, recording artist Tatiana Owens performed great songs that got the whole ballroom rocking! IMTA Alum singer Aidan Doran played piano and sang a show tune.
IMTA scholarship winners were awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships from New York Film Academy, New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, DebraLynn Findon and Patrick Baca on behalf of Beverly Long Casting, Clair Sinnett - Actors Working, Adam Hill - Promenade Theater and Pageantry Magazine.
Callbacks were a major success for the models, actors, singers, songwriters, and dancers who met with the agents, managers, casting directors and industry VIP’s who were interested in representing them. Awards Night was an elegant event hosted by Mark Reynolds and Chris Johnson and featured the announcement of the Models of the Year, Actors of the Year and more.
