James F. McCluskey Announces Candidacy for 2015 Illinois State Bar Association Third Vice President
Lisle, IL (PRWEB) October 07, 2014 -- James F. McCluskey is pleased to announce his candidacy for the position of 2015 Third Vice President of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).
Jim is a founding partner at Momkus McCluskey, LLC located in Lisle, IL. Jim has practiced commercial litigation for over 35 years, and has successfully represented clients throughout the Chicago area including Cook County, DuPage County and Kane County. During the course of his legal career, Jim has tried more than 55 civil jury trials to verdict, in state courts throughout Illinois, and in federal courts in northern and central Illinois.
Jim is a long-time resident of Batavia, and has been married to Jeanne McCluskey for 30 years. They have two adult daughters, Jaimie and Jessica.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Elmhurst College in 1976, Juris Doctorate Degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1979, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from The John Marshall Law School in 1988.
Jim was recently appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Professional Responsibility. He currently serves as a member on the Illinois State Bar Foundation, and is the acting Chair of the ISBA Task Force on the Effect of Law School Debt on the Profession. He is also a Chair of the Facilities and Technology Committee of the ISBA. He is a member of the ISBA Budget & Audit Committee and Investment Committee. He has also held several prominent leadership roles for the DuPage County Bar Association, including the positions of President, General Counsel and Assistant Treasurer.
Outside of the office, Jim is proud to support and contribute to numerous local community initiatives. He is a member of The Rotary Club of Naperville and is a Past Board Member of TriCity Family Services in Geneva.
