HS-UK to host state-of-the-art ‘Improving Outcomes’ biometry courses in Manchester in October 2014
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 20 June 2014 -- HS-UK to host state-of-the-art ‘Improving Outcomes’ biometry courses in Manchester in October 2014
Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, has now finalised an exciting agenda for the next in its series of courses on ‘Improving Outcomes’ in biometry. These will be held at the Macdonald Hotel and Spa in Manchester, on 9th and 10th October 2014.
The courses are designed to help both beginners and experienced Ophthalmic Consultants get the most from their biometer. The finalised agenda will include lectures on topics such as; good biometry practice, TORIC IOL surgery and IOL power calculation.
Speakers for the event are confirmed as; Mr David Sculfor, Consultant Optometrist, Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Mr Sathish Srinivasan, Consultant Ophthalmologist, University Hospital Ayr. Both are widely-recognised as experts in their field.
Each day will also incorporate practical, hands-on workshops. These include subjects such as; data entry, keratometry & topography and TORIC IOL planning.
The first day will cover ‘Improving Outcomes’ standard biometry methods and the second will focus on more advanced techniques, enabling delegates to attend whichever day is more appropriate for them. Attendees will be able to claim 7.5 CPD points for each day of the event.
Sam Laidlaw, HS-UK Product Manager for biometry said, “The course will be a great opportunity for delegates to gain hands-on experience in the workshops. We also have some excellent speakers lined up, who are recognised as experts in biometry and cataract surgical planning.”
Sam continued, “We ran our ‘Improving Outcomes’ courses in Glasgow earlier in the year and they were hugely successful. We only have limited spaces on each course, so we suggest that anyone interested should book early to avoid disappointment.”
The price for the event is just £100, which will include lunch at the Macdonald Hotel and Spa. Further courses are planned to be held in London late 2014.
