International Commercial Television, Inc. (ICTL), (or “ICTV”), a direct response marketing and branding company focused on the health, wellness and beauty sector, has appointed Richard King to the newly created position of Vice President of Retail Sales. The decision to expand its efforts into U.S. retail is the culmination of ICTV’s strategy using its expertise in DRTV and Internet marketing to build recognition and demand for retail sales in U.S. outlets.
ICTV has spent over $20 million over the past 2 ½ years in the U.S. on TV media marketing for its flagship product DermaWand, an at-home, handheld radio frequency beauty tool that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improves overall skin appearance. ICTV has sold over 2 million DermaWands to-date worldwide. The DermaWand success has created additional health, wellness and beauty product opportunities for ICTV, such as DermaVital, Elastin RP and, most recently, Coral Actives, which is already available at several retailer including Bed Bath & Beyond, Wegmans, Kinney Drugs, Bartell Drugs, and Discount Drug Mart.
The new ICTV retail team, led by Richard King, will look to expand upon its initial retail relationships. Prior to ICTV, Mr. King spent over 25 years in Consumer Package Goods sales, with experience in the beauty and personal care sector. Mr. King’s specific experience includes Beiersdorf, Alberto Culver, L’Oreal/Maybelline/Garnier, Proctor & Gamble’s Prestige Division and Del Labs’ Cosmetics.
