International Dance Festival Offers Local Real Estate a Boost
Palm Desert, CA (PRWEB) November 06, 2015 -- Brad Schmett, Broker Associate with Luxury Homes by Keller Williams today announced that the Palm Desert International Dance Festival and Choreography Festival will be a huge boost for local real estate when it opens at the McCallum Theatre for the Performing Arts on November 7. Record attendance is expected at the world-class dance and choreography competitive event.
Division I will compete the evening of November 7 at 7 PM at the McCallum Theater. These are choreographers working with professional dancers who are seasoned and aged 18 and up. The event is dedicated to the advancement of dance as a form of art, particularly through the use of professional choreography. The festival includes choreography competition, workshops, outreach projects, and a lifetime achievement award presentation. A $10,000 grand prize is only one of the several prices that will be offered. A number of cash awards will be given. Division II will commence on November 8 at 4 PM, also with the McCallum and will include aspiring and emerging dance companies, colleges and studios.
Schmett recently discussed the event, “Some of our local young dancers will be competing at this Festival as well as other aspiring young people from many different areas. As many people already know the Coachella Valley is a hub for the entertainment industry and is world-famous for its training and exposure opportunities for up-and-coming musicians, dancers, and entertainers. The McCallum Theater has always underwritten and supported these pursuits and we deeply appreciate their presence in our community, offering new talent an opportunity to compete for prizes. Many of my own clients choose to live here because they have children and grandchildren involved in the performing arts.”
