Brake Tool Invented by InventHelp Clients (BRK-1115)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) July 15, 2016 -- Two inventors from Montgomery, Ala., wanted a way to speed up and add safety to the process of changing out brake shoes on trucks and industrial equipment. As such, they invented the BRAKE BEGONE for use by industrial and truck mechanics.
The tool enables a mechanic to quickly and easily remove a wedge-shaped brake shoe without endangering his or her fingers or thumbs. Once the old shoe is removed, the process can be reversed to apply the new shoe. All this can be done in half the time of a normal change-out job.
The inventors were inspired by personal experience. "I had injured my thumb by pinching it when changing out a brake shoe," said one inventor. "I knew that a more efficient tool could be created that would speed up the process as well as prevent injury."
The original design was submitted to the Birmingham office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
