"I am an over-the-road truck driver and after having many sleepless nights, worried about my safety, I had an idea," said one of the two inventors from Dallas, Ga. "In order to keep me safe and secure my wife and I put our heads together and came up with this security device."

As a solution, they developed the Cab Guard to provide added security for a sleeping truck driver. The unit prevents unauthorized individuals from opening the door and entering the cab. This reduces the risk of being robbed or killed, which enables the trucker to sleep more easily. Additionally, the invention offers added peace of mind and is adaptable for use in any truck.

The original design was submitted to the Atlanta office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
