Founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, InventHelp is submitting the COACH'S HELPER to companies for their possible feedback.

"As a coach, we use 5-gallon buckets to crouch down and sit on when practicing with our pitchers," said an inventor from Santa Maria, Calif. "Too many times I have seen a coach get hit in the private area or other parts of the body. This inspired me to come up with a solution that would serve as a seat while also providing protection."

He created a prototype for the COACH'S HELPER to provide a comfortable place to sit while playing catcher for the pitcher. The design eliminates the need to squat, which lessens physical strain and reduces aches and pains. The unit also protects the individual from errant pitches and missed balls, which minimizes the risk of injuries. Furthermore, the invention is designed to be easy to set up and use.

The original design was submitted to the National Sales Office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
