Most workers who are required to wear work boots have undoubtedly experienced some type of foot discomfort. Whether it’s athlete’s foot, blisters, or some other skin problem, a discovery by an inventor from LaCrosse, Wis., will provide much needed help.
He developed the patent-pending COOL BOOT to help pull warm moist air out of leather boots. In other words, it provides air ventilation for leather boots to keep feet from sweating. Therefore, it reduces the incidence of athlete’s foot and related foot problems. At the same time, it saves on medical expenses associated with the treatment of foot problems. On the job, it keeps the wearer more comfortable and productive. As a result, it reduces absenteeism in the workplace. In addition, it controls unpleasant foot odor.
The inventor’s work experience inspired the idea. “As a telephone technician, I often wore leather boots on the job and decided this idea would not only keep my feet more comfortable at work but actually any time I wore boots,” he said.
