InventHelp Invention Allows For Sanitation and Entertainment for Children at Restaurants (PIT-377)

InventHelp, founded in 1984, is submitting the DINE-OUT PROTECTION MAT to companies for their possible feedback.

An inventor from Washington, Pa., has come up with an idea that makes taking children to restaurants a better experience. "I thought of this while out to dinner one evening," she said. "A young child was eating food directly off of the restaurant table because her plate kept getting pulled then tossed onto the floor. This is certainly not safe or sanitary, as food was in direct contact with the table. This idea is both cost-effective for parents, as well as protective, entertaining, educational and sanitary for children in restaurants."

The DINE-OUT PROTECTION MAT prevents an infant, toddler or young child from contacting germs and cleaning chemicals on the restaurant table, since they are always prone to putting their mouths on everything and putting their hands in their mouths. This helps avoid the spread of illnesses and diseases. It also keeps him or her entertained for long periods in order to avoid fussiness and misbehavior while also having an educational benefit.

The DINE-OUT PROTECTION MAT is designed to promote enjoyment, education, safety and peace of mind, and its variations include different sizes and materials. Smaller mats can be available for entertainment purposes only.

The original design was submitted to the Pittsburgh office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
