All-in-One Dental Aspirator Invented by InventHelp® Clients (SDB-733)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) June 01, 2015 -- If you dread visiting a dentist because of the anticipated discomfort based on past experience, we have some encouraging news. With an idea created by two inventors, one from San Diego and one from San Marcos, Calif., you no longer need to worry.
They developed a prototype for DuoOptimum Suction (DOS) Tip to provide improved oral suction needed for dental exams, surgery and other procedures. As such, it keeps a dental patient’s throat more comfortable by removing excess fluids quickly and easily. Furthermore, it restricts flexing of the tongue, which causes discomfort and interferes with the procedure. Besides that, it is disposable to promote sanitary conditions with one use per patient. Another advantage is that it saves time and effort for the dentist and allows him or her to work unassisted. It, therefore, improves the effectiveness of the dental practitioner. In addition, it is compatible with any standard dental suction line.
The key feature is that it combines the functions of two suction devices into a single unit, thereby enabling the dental assistant to more easily multitask. Also, it ultimately improves procedure efficiency by enabling the operator/dentist to work independently or more readily without an assistant, should the need arise.
The inventors’ work experience inspired the idea. “Working as a dental technician, I wanted to simplify the task of the dental assistant so he or she would have a free hand to provide more help to the dentist with wiping instruments and other duties,” one of them said.
The original design was submitted to the San Diego office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
