Cutting Torch Safety Accessory Invented by InventHelp Client (AAT-948)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 27, 2016 -- "I was under a box car one day using a cutting torch doing some repairs," said an inventor from Powder Springs, Ga. "While I was under the box car cutting, I became dizzy for about 20 seconds. It occurred to me that if I were to drop the torch in the middle of a dizzy spell, it would continue to burn and possibly burn me if it fell in my direction. It could possible cause a fire elsewhere."
He designed the FLAME OUT as an after-market accessory for oxy-acetylene torches used by building and industrial contractors, and home-improvement consumers. If manufactured, this design would help increase the safety of this dangerous cutting tool.
The inventor explained, "My design would provide and automatic shut-off method if a torch slips from the user's hand."
The original design was submitted to the Atlanta office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
