InventHelp Inventors Develop Vehicle Safety System for Children (LAX-464)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- It seems that every summer, there are news reports of children dying when they are left behind in a closed vehicle. If a baby or young child is (inadvertently or purposefully) left in a vehicle, the child can quickly be in danger of serious heat-related problems.
Even if windows are cracked open, the vehicle is parked in the shade, and the outside temperatures seem temperate to an adult, the inside vehicle temperature can quickly become unbearable to a pet or child who is strapped in a car seat and who can do absolutely nothing to cool down.
Tragic stories seem to occur every year of well-meaning but stressed and busy parents who forget to take their sleeping baby from the car, and the child pays for this mistake with his or her life. To avoid this, two inventors from Glendale, Calif., developed the Forget Me Not Lifesaver.
The system safeguards a baby, young child or pet from being left in a vehicle. The unit stops parents from leaving the vehicle while the child is still inside. It helps prevent tragic heat-related injuries or deaths, which improves the safety of young children. The invention features automatic operation. Additionally, the device provides peace of mind to busy parents, and it is adaptable for use in any automobile and safe guards anything of value such as jewelry, laptops or important documents.
The inventors' personal concerns inspired their idea. "With the busy schedules that most families have to keep, wouldn't it be nice if there were one less thing to worry about?," said one inventor. "To help busy parents and caregivers breathe easier and relax, we developed this automotive safety system."
The original design was submitted to the Los Angeles office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
