InventorHelp® Clients Develop Doll for Children with Diabetes (WGH-4370)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- "In January of 2012, our granddaughter Jayla was diagnosed with diabetes," said one of two inventors from Coraopolis, Pa. "She got into the habit of asking us to check the blood sugar of her dolls. We thought that a doll designed just for her would be great."
They developed BABY JAYLA to serve as a positive teaching tool and toy for children affected by diabetes. The doll provides an uplifting message and fosters happiness and positivity. The design enables the child to check the doll's blood sugar level, just as they check their own. The unit educates the child about living with diabetes. Furthermore, it helps the child feel less alone.
The original design was submitted to the Pittsburgh office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
