InventHelp is working to submit this idea, the IC BACTERIAL TAPE, to companies in the hopes of their good faith review.

"As the only wound-care nurse in a 300-bed facility, I needed a way to save time when cutting tape," said an inventor from Palm Harbor, Fla. "This invention also provides a barrier from bacteria. My idea not only saves time and effort, but also promotes proper infection control."

She developed the patent-pending IC BACTERIAL TAPE to offer a more effective means of wound care. The accessory eliminates the need to use towels or paper towels during the procedure. The design saves time and effort when caring for wounds. Also, it eliminates the need to cut tape in order to secure bandages. The unit serves as an effective infection-control barrier. In addition, the invention is easy to use and easy to dispose of.

The original design was submitted to the Tampa office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
