While hot summer days and frozen treats make a great combination for children, holding that ice-cold package in their hands may be too uncomfortable for them. However, thanks to the creativity of an inventor from Naples, Fla., they can now enjoy that treat without freezing their fingers.
His idea, ICY GLOVE, is designed to protect a child’s hands against the cold while they are holding a freezer pop. Besides that, it prevents melting ice from dripping onto the hands of the user. It, therefore, improves comfort and enjoyment while eating a plastic-wrapped frozen treat that is usually held in the hand. What's more, it makes it easier for a child to keep the freezer pop at the top of the package for easy access. Another benefit is that it reduces the chances of dropping the dessert and having to replace it. It is also lightweight, portable and affordably priced. In addition, it is convenient and easy to use, clean and store.
The inspiration for this idea came from the inventor's son. "I invented this device to make it easier for my son to eat freezer pops," he said. "He enjoyed them so much but found it too uncomfortable to hold the ice-cold package in his hands and keep the ice at the top"
