Visibility Aid for Walkers Invented by InventHelp Client (KSC-949)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 03, 2014 -- For those who struggle with mobility and need to use a walker to get around, dimly lit areas present somewhat of a challenge. Fortunately, an inventor from Independence, Mo., has found a way to help.
She developed a prototype for Path Lite to provide safety for individuals using walkers at night or in dimly lit places. As such, it affords an alternate light source for those individuals with impaired vision that also rely on walkers to move around. It, therefore, affords greater independence for those who rely on walkers to move around and reduces the chances of injuries from falls. At the same time, it eliminates the need to carry a separate flashlight. It is also convenient, practical and affordably priced. In addition, it is easy to install, operate and maintain.
The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "I needed this type of help for my mother because of her diminishing vision and dependence on a walker," she said. "It provides a convenient light source without putting her at risk for falling."
The original design was submitted to the Kansas City office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
