InventHelp, founded in 1984, is submitting the PET BUDDY HELPER to companies for their potential review and feedback.

"I worry about the safety of pets when they are driven around in automobiles," said an inventor from Dearborn Heights, Mich. "Pets cannot wear seat belts to keep them protected in the event of an accident or even simple swerving. I came up with this idea as a way to keep a pet safely restrained while being able to ride high on an owner’s lap in the passenger seat for optimal enjoyment and safety."

She created a prototype for the PET BUDDY HELPER to restrain the pet while being transported in a motor vehicle. The accessory prevents the pet from moving around or sliding around in the back seat, which minimizes the risk of injury in the event of an accident. This is designed to enhance the safety of the pet. The unit provides added peace of mind to pet owners. Also, it fits on your lap or seat, so you can enjoy your pet, and the pet can be secure and enjoy the view. In addition, the invention is adaptable for use in any vehicle.

The original design was submitted to the Bingham Farms office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
