"It is nasty picking up poop with a plastic bag over your hand," said an inventor from Ormond Beach, Fla. "Pooper scoopers are nasty and dirty as well. To provide a more hygienic alternative, I came up with this ergonomic device."

She created a prototype for the patent-pending CLEAN SCOOP to provide a more sanitary means of picking up and disposing of pet waste. The accessory saves the user from having to come into contact with waste. The design ends the need to bend down.

The unit ensures that waste is disposed of properly so that it is not a health threat to the community. Furthermore, it is ideal for pet owners who reside in cities where law requires the removal of litter created by pets.

The original design was submitted to the Orlando office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
