If you leave your hot curling iron or flat iron on the bathroom countertop while you style your hair, you run the risk of leaving burn marks there. To avoid this, an inventor from Bronx, N.Y., developed the Praizee.

The accessory offers a convenient, safe place to set a hot hair-styling tool. The unit creates a protective barrier between the barrel of the hot tool and the dresser, sinktop, etc. This prevents the tool from burning countertops and other surfaces. The device provides added peace of mind. It prevents the premature replacement of furniture and fixtures. Additionally, the invention features a decorative design.

The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "I needed a way to protect my furniture from the hot barrel of my curling iron," she said. "If I put it directly down on a countertop or dresser, it leaves burn marks. This invention safeguards my furniture, and it also features a stylish appearance."

The original design was submitted to the Manhattan office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
