Leg Support Device for Scooters Invented by InventHelp Client (DLL-3103)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 19, 2016 -- Individuals who are wheelchair or scooter bound have limited independence and mobility. Because scooters require such individuals to be in a seated position, their level of independence is unfortunately exacerbated when they also have to wear casts or have surgically implanted rods that require their leg to be kept in a straight orientation.
An inventor from Arlington, Texas, has invented the patent-pending SCOOTER BUDDY as means for supporting a leg while using a scooter. "After my mother underwent surgery and had a rod installed in her leg, she had to keep her leg straight at all times and relied heavily on her scooter to move around," said the inventor. "I wanted to invent a device that kept her outstretched leg supported while using her scooter." He then developed SCOOTER BUDDY, which can be readily adapted for use on most common makes and models of scooters.
With SCOOTER BUDDY, the inventor's mother had greater independence and improved comfort while using her scooter. This invention would benefit any individual with leg problems that hinders their mobility. A patent application is in progress.
