Improved Mobility Aid Invented by InventHelp Client (OCM-948)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) November 29, 2015 -- While walkers generally provide the assistance most people with mobility restrictions need, they do not leave the user’s hands free. Thanks to an inventor from Los Angeles, Calif., however, there is now a hands-free alternative.
He developed the patent-pending SELF WALKER to provide a those who have difficulty walking with the support needed to stand unassisted. At the same time, it leaves their hands free for other needs. Furthermore, it prevents falls by providing balance. As such, it aids patients receiving physical therapy to progress more quickly toward walking on their own. In other words, it helps individuals regain mobility and confidence. As a result, it eliminates the need for a walker. It also affords peace of mind for patients learning to walk again and their families. In addition, it is safe, comfortable, effective and easy to use.
The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “After attending physical therapy sessions with my daughter, I wanted to find a way to encourage her to try to walk on her own,” he said. “This idea seemed to meet her needs, and I thought it would be beneficial to many others in similar circumstances.”
The original design was submitted to the Orange County office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
