Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is attempting to submit the TAPE CUTTER to companies for their consideration.

"As a worker in the drywall/metal-framing field I know the danger and difficulty of cutting drywall, especially for beginners," said an inventor and construction worker from Hialeah, Fla. "This inspired me to design a better way to do this."

The easy-to-use and ergonomic TAPE CUTTER facilitates the sectioning and cutting of drywall panels, acrylics, vinyls and ceiling tops. It helps avoid injuries, as well as saves time and effort. It also eliminates the need for drawn lines or a conventional blade. Overall, it promotes accuracy and efficiency. In addition, the invention is patent-pending.

The original design was submitted to the Hollywood office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
