PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) August 01, 2016 -- Two inventors, from Nashville, N.C., thought there needed to be a safer, more effective way to utilize monitors during laparoscopic surgical procedures, so they invented the patent-pending TOUCH & SEE.
The TOUCH & SEE enables an operating room monitor screen to be touched without compromising the sterile field. In doing so, it eliminates the need to rescrub and it enhances the sterile environment. It also provides added protection and convenience. In addition, it allows the surgeon or surgical technician to push buttons on devices if the circulator is busy. The invention is usable on other equipment/devices (laser machines, aquamantys machines, sonosite devices, etc.). It features a practical design that is easy to install and use so it is ideal for hospitals and medical facilities.
The inventors described the invention design: “Our design helps to reduce contamination and preserve the sterile field.”
The original design was submitted to the Durham office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
