Locating Device Invented by InventHelp Client for Retrieving Crab and Shrimp Pots (FED-1632)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) October 25, 2016 -- Nothing can be more frustrating for a crab fisherman than returning to retrieve a crab pot from the ocean floor and finding it gone. Sad to say, it was likely stolen by another fisherman. Fortunately, an inventor from Bothell, Wash., has discovered an innovative retrieval system for crab pots and similar equipment that reveals the location of the pot only to its owner.
He developed the patent-pending UNDER WATER LIFT DEVICE to allow for easy retrieval of a crab pot or related equipment from the bottom of the sea. As a result, it is no longer necessary to mark the position of a crab pot or shrimp pot on the ocean floor with a buoy. It, therefore, prevents theft of crab gear that’s been set in the water. As such, it actually increases crab harvests. At the same time, it eliminates the need to replace costly stolen fishing equipment. Thus, it affords peace of mind for users of crabbing equipment. It is also durable and easy to use and maintain. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.
The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “After I set crab pots and marked their location with buoys, too often the pots were stolen by other fisherman before I could retrieve them,” he said. So I decided to find a way to prevent this from happening.”
