InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Michigan, has designed a construction tool that is designed to make cutting and installing handrails more convenient. This invention is patented and a prototype is available.
The “Vorrath Rail Jig” could secure a handrail in place while it is installed, and would eliminate the need for an assistant to hold the rail. It would prevent dropped and damaged rails, and could save time and increase productivity.
The handrail tool would be produced from birch plywood, and includes pine supports and a dowel rod. To use, the base would be screwed into a deck or between a step’s railings. The handrail is set on top and the user cuts it to size. The user would then install the rail and remove the tool.
“I was working on installing handrail for some steps when I needed a second person to hold the rail in place,” said the inventor. “Handrails can be long and become too heavy for one person to hold up and install at the same time. I designed my invention to provide a secure surface for handrails to sit on while being installed.”
InventHelp is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 10-BGF-345 at (800) 851-6030.
