Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is working to submit the WIPER BUDDIES to companies for their consideration.

With visibility a priority for driving, particularly in adverse weather conditions, your vehicle's wipers must be in good condition. Thanks to the creativity of an inventor from Staten Island, N.Y., that will no longer present a challenge.

He developed WIPER BUDDIES specifically to prevent windshield wiper damage from snow, ice or extreme heat while a motor vehicle is parked outdoors. Designed to extend the life of wiper blades, it saves the time, expense and effort associated with replacing cracked or torn wipers. Besides that, it eliminates the need to manually clean the blades during the winter weather and the hassle of stuck wiper blades frozen to the windshield. A major advantage is the time saved required to get in the car and start driving. At the same time, it is easy to use, maintain and store. Other advantages include convenience and effectiveness at an affordable price. It is also durable for years of effective use. In addition, its simple design minimizes production costs.

The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “I was dissatisfied using plastic bags that easily damage during use and always stuck to the windshield and wiper blades,” he said. “There had to be a better way, so I invented WIPER BUDDIES as a viable solution to these problems.”

The original design was submitted to the New Jersey office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
