Restraint System Invented for Heavy Equipment Operators - Designed by InventHelp Client (LGI-2066)

InventHelp, a Pittsburgh-based invention firm, is submitting the Z BELT to companies for their consideration.

Anyone working with large construction machinery runs the risk of physical strains and injuries on the job. Fortunately, an inventor from Pawleys Island, S.C., has found a way to keep heavy equipment operators on the job rather than undergoing rehabilitation for such injuries.

He developed the patent-pending Z BELT to provide restraint and support for heavy equipment operators. As such, it reduces the risk of work-related back and neck injuries. In other words, it keeps the operator safe and comfortable while working. At the same time, it prevents the operator from being jerked forward while the machine is in motion. Instead, it holds the worker securely in the seat of the vehicle. It is also easy to activate and release. In addition, it can help reduce the number of Workers’ Compensation claims that are filed.

The inventor’s personal experience inspired the idea. “I’ve been operating heavy equipment as an excavator for almost 30 years,” he said. “So I know it’s common for most operators to strain their muscles to the extent that they need to see a chiropractor. This accessory would alleviate that problem.”

The original design was submitted to the Long Island office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
