Three inventors from Sedalia, Mo., know the crucial importance of a fuel-efficient engine, especially during these times of high gas prices. "In the interest of advancing the vehicle-manufacturing industry and maximizing transportation efficiency, we designed an alternative engine that provides more benefits than the conventional piston-oriented internal combustion engine," said one inventor.

They then created a prototype of the L.P.R.E., which serves as a more efficient alternative to the piston-oriented internal combustion engine. Allowing for greater power-to-weight ratio, lower fuel consumption per horsepower output and more efficient force production, as well as requiring less metal and fewer parts, it helps advance the vehicle-manufacturing industry.

The alternative engine moves or powers any vehicle, manufacturing process, machine or other kinetic energy-using mechanism.

The original design was submitted to the Kansas City office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
