An inventor from Layton, Utah, has developed a piece of boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) equipment that helps improve endurance, stamina, timing, reflexes, and hand-eye coordination. The HEAVY HITTER enhances a fighter's or fitness enthusiast's training regimen, which results in enhanced performance.

The invention provides informative feedback regarding a fighter's or fitness enthusiast's workout and performance. It provides a fun, enjoyable, and challenging strength-training/cardiovascular workout that enables the user to improve accuracy, power and strength, as well as the ability to throw combinations. The invention provides an effective strength-training workout that increases upper- and lower-body strength.

When asked what inspired the idea, the inventor explained, "I was inspired to develop my idea after working with individuals and teaching them combinations and how to hit. My invention makes it easier to perfect the user’s strike and combinations, increasing accuracy, power and strength."

The original design was submitted to the Salt Lake City office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
