Ever since he began using a cell phone, an inventor from Colleyville, Texas, has been plagued by a certain question: Do I keep the phone on ring, vibrate or silent mode? "If on vibrate or silent mode, I’m liable to miss calls, text messages and/or updates," he said. "I can’t count how many times I’ve checked the time on my phone only to find that I’d missed a text or more because I couldn’t feel the phone vibrate through my pocket." In order to offer a foolproof way to always know when his phone is going off, he designed the Fire Fly.
This compact, stylish and versatile device ensures that a user doesn’t miss a call, text message or update on his or her cell- or smartphone. By providing immediate, foolproof alerts outside of easily missed ring or vibration settings, it allows the user to never miss a beat, guaranteeing that his or her phone calls and texts will never go passively unanswered. In addition, it offers a security feature for locating a phone or other lost items. Especially ideal for teens, the device can be produced in many design variations and versions.
