In this day and age, many of us rely on a variety of electronic devices and technological functions for both recreation and work, but it can be hard to do certain things while on the go. "I wanted to solve the problem of not being able to make printouts while away from home," said an inventor from Monrovia, Calif.

He then conceived of the MULTI-PURPOSE DEVICE, a device that allows for wireless printing from selected mobile devices (smartphone, tablet PC, etc.) and faxing without a phone connection. It also provides an easy way to print, fax, scan and photocopy while away from home.

In addition, it enables a user to download data from smartphones, PCs, tablet PCs, etc. Overall, it promotes convenience and a better flow of information. Versatile and compact, the device also is producible in different sizes.

The original design was submitted to the Los Angeles office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
