The DOOR GENIE, developed by an inventor from Bellevue, WA, provides added insulation around doors and windows. This home accessory helps keep the home warm in the winter and cool in the summer, while also increasing the user's privacy. Easy and convenient to use, it saves money by decreasing the user's energy bill. It doesn't affect the door's functionality, can be removed when needed, can be used as a room divider, and could add a decorative element to a room. The inventor has developed a prototype.
"My idea doesn't affect the functionality of the door, yet provides increased insulation in a drafty home in the wintertime or when trying to keep the house cool in the summer," explained the inventor. "I was inspired to develop my idea after I noticed the efforts my mother went through to keep the heat from escaping through the doors in her home. It is also great for teen's rooms."
