Improved Method of Securing IV Lines Invented by InventHelp Client (BIR-2159)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- Patients receiving care involving intravenous lines often have difficulty keeping the plastic tubing from twisting. Thanks to an inventor from Cuba, Ala., that inconvenience is a thing of the past.
He developed EASY IV to save time and effort for medical professionals who administer drugs or other fluids intravenously. The invention keeps patients more comfortable. It also eliminates the inconvenience of having to untwist IV tubing, which leads to splitting and breaking.
Thus, it reduces costs for hospitals by extending the life of the IV tubing. Furthermore, it facilitates easy replacement of worn sections of tubing. In addition, it is durable, economical and easy to install and maintain.
The inventor's inspiration for this invention came from his experiences as a hospital patient and visitor. "I noticed that it was difficult for patients and nurses to keep the IV lines from twisting and wanted to find a solution to the problem," he said.
The original design was submitted to the Birmingham office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
