InventHelp Inventors Develop Nose-Clearing Aid (SNK-115)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- Young children cannot yet blow their own noses, so their parents have to step in and help them out when they're sick. Of course, there really isn't an easy way to clear someone else's nasal passages, which is why a pair of inventors from San Jose, Calif., created a prototype for the NAREVAC.
The device clears mucus/phlegm off the nose and throat during colds/flu. It also clears any liquid in nose/throat after the baby vomits to prevent aspiration/choking. The unit clears dried debris/plugs within the nose as well. The accessory helps a baby feed better while suffering from cold/flu. The invention is safe, extremely easy to use and gentle on the baby. In addition, it ends the need to clear the nose with hand pumps, which can take hours to work.
The inventors' personal and professional experience motivated their design. "I am a physician, and I see a lot of infants brought in with stuffy noses," said one inventor. "In order to help parents clear their children’s noses and throats effectively at home, we came up with this idea. Now children will be able to breathe better, and this, in turn, will help parents sleep better at night."
The original design was submitted to the San Francisco office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
