InvoTech / T-Y Group partnership saves hotel money, reduces labor
The Grand Beach Hotel Surfside in Miami had its grand opening in November 2013. InvoTech supplied 50,000 UHF-RFID laundry tags to T-Y Group, which were sewn into the linens (towels, sheets, and pillowcases) and delivered to the hotel for use prior to opening. T-Y Group provided the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside with a linen inventory data file that instantly updates the hotel’s InvoTech system for fast, easy implementation. The InvoTech partnership with T-Y Group enabled the hotel to use the linens and system at once to obtain its benefits immediately. InvoTech’s UHF-RFID Linen System saves money and increases profitability by simplifying accurate linen operations with total control and automated recordkeeping.

InvoTech supplied Fujitsu UHF-RFID laundry tags to T-Y Group to pre-tag the linens. InvoTech installed its Linen System with a UHF-RFID Laundry Cart Reading Station and touch-screen monitor in the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside loading dock. The Reading Station instantly counts and records entire carts of both soiled laundry and clean linens from up to 8 feet away. InvoTech automates linen inventory tracking and recordkeeping for each item sent to the laundry and received clean, and provides accurate reports for laundry accountability. InvoTech also provided a UHF-RFID Linen Inventory Reading Station to monitor linen aging so the property can maintain high quality control standards for guests. InvoTech integrates Impinj UHF-RFID Speedway Revolution Readers for all fixed reading stations for performance and reliability. InvoTech also supplied a wireless handheld RFID reader to quickly monitor and maintain linen storeroom par stocks without hand counting to save time and ensure the property always has sufficient linens.
