Local Pocatello Teen, Isaac Sanders Invited to Moscow Bolshoi Ballet Academy
Pocatello, ID (PRWEB) September 07, 2013 -- Isaac Sanders is a 14 year old ballet dancer who has been following his dream, since he began dancing at age 8 with Stacy Landon in Pocatello, ID. At 11, Isaac, began to focus more on classical ballet at the Brindusa-Moore Ballet Academy. He recently attended a six week Summer Intensive with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Middlebury, Connecticut on an artistic scholarship through the Russian American Foundation. It was through this intensive training by Bolshoi Ballet Masters that Isaac received the invitation to attend the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia.
As international students are not offered scholarships at the Bolshoi, Isaac is reaching out to the community for help. Sanders said, “As you can imagine, tuition, room and board, travel, and insurance is very expensive--far beyond the reach of me and my family. Attending the Bolshoi Ballet Academy would offer me unparalleled training and open career doors to me that would be otherwise closed. Any help would be much appreciated.”
Isaac’s instructors and owners of Pocatello’s Brindusa-Moore Ballet Academy, LLC, Sergiu Brindusa and his wife Beth Moore have trained Isaac for the last three years. “Isaac has been very trainable due to his extraordinary natural talent he was born with. We taught him the fundamentals of ballet under the Vaganova style and technique. This is the Russian methodology prescribed by the biggest institutions of professional ballet in Russia, The Vaganova Academy of St. Petersburg and The Bolshoi Academy of Moscow,” said Sergiu Brindusa.
The Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia was established in 1773 and is one of the oldest and most established schools for classical ballet training, producing world class dancers. Graduates go on to careers with major national and international dance companies.
Isaac’s mom, Emily Sanders, so eloquently speaks about Isaac’s passion, “He has forgotten how to walk; he dances. He doesn’t know how to stand unless he is in position. He doesn’t sit; he stretches. Dance is in every part of him.” To help send Isaac to the Bolshoi Academy, donations are being accepted at http://www.isaacsanders.org/donate.
