Alyssa OConnor, a business leader with It Works!, is celebrating one year with the health and wellness company and raising awareness of its Gives Back Foundation, which supports Selah Freedom and Children’s Cup. “The Gives Back Foundation strives to make a lasting difference in local as well as global communities through financial, practical and emotional support,” said OConnor, who donates part of her earnings to the charities. “Together, we can change the lives of people in need.”
The mission of Selah Freedom is to end sex trafficking and bring freedom to the exploited. Selah Freedom actively confronts the issue of sex trafficking and is being upheld as a model for how to effectively bring solutions to survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. Children’s Cup exists to provide food, water and medical care to impoverished children in Africa. It also teaches the life skills needed to thrive, such as education, discipleship and economic principles.
“Children’s Cup helps ‘throwaway’ kids become world-changers,” said OConnor. “I am very proud to report that at the It Works! annual conference alone, we provided over 19,000 meals and sponsored 130 children for Children’s Cup. It is an honor to work for this humanitarian company and I am looking forward to the next year.”
