It’s a great story that captures readers and takes them on my life’s journey as to how God joined two hearts that he loves with a true happy ending – a beautiful outdoor wedding in the country.

Author J. Ladd Johnson found herself disheartened in her quest to find love. Her core beliefs about love, a fairy tale version, led to poor decisions in choosing a mate on her own terms. Her book is about her personal journey to find the right man. “Loved as Promised” (published by Lulu) shows how a relationship with God first is essential to finding love the way God intended.

“Many single women who desire love, marriage and family have become disappointed on their quest to find the right mate,” Johnson says. “They often settle for less in hopes of having some remnants of the life they desire.”

“Loved as Promised” shows readers that they are not alone in their quest for love; God is with them every step of the way, if they invite him in. Johnson invites readers to surrender and embrace God as their first love. Only then, will they be able to find their one true love.

Johnson combines memoir with spiritual guidebook. She shares insight through moments of reflections in “Loved as Promised.” The story takes readers on a journey through Johnson’s times of despair, her reconciliation with God, meeting the right person in God’s time and wedding.

“The book is a memoir and reads with all of the intrigue of a novel, sharing lessons learned that are true to life,” Johnson says. “It’s a great story that captures readers and takes them on my life’s journey as to how God joined two hearts that he loves with a true happy ending – a beautiful outdoor wedding in the country.”
