New Fiction Explores Role of Multi-Cultured Family, Love, Greed and Discrimination in Society

“Color of Grace” is the story of a princess named Margareta Angelina Aghustoff who gets caught up in a struggle for power, greed and love, and is determined to save her brother – next in line for the throne – from the evils of discrimination that may kill him in the process.
Colonel McAlister becomes involved in the princess’ life when he sends his grandson to correct a misappropriation of assets in the exportation of goods from Norway. The colonel’s daughter is sent to stay with the princess and her family, but later becomes the victim of rape by a drug lord. The drug lord’s misdeed comes as a direct result of conspiring with the king’s brother to keep Colonel McAlister away from the royal family.
This does not deter the colonel, however, and he vows to keep the princess safe after the tragic death of her parents and his daughter. He must do this while attempting to keep the peace and right the wrongs that her evil uncle and his accomplice, the drug lord have created in attempts to misappropriate public funds.
“Each of the elements of my book brings in the struggles seen around the world, leveling the playing field often used to make people feel marginalized,” Delaney says. “It takes away the excuses to see evil as a color or economic status and shows common goals and love as the foundation of family. It uses social and political issues as a talking point and a proponent for change.”
