Connecticut-based technology company Jaroop has acquired ServiceKick, a popular business review and publication technology platform. ServiceKick, originally founded in 2010, provides the ability for business owners and companies to collect, manage and publish business reviews and testimonials.

According to Sean Taylor, Jaroop President, buying ServiceKick is a key piece of the company’s plan to bring a robust reputation management platform to market. “Managing your company’s online reputation is just as critical as managing your offline one,“ stated Taylor. “With the increasing velocity of online information — reviews, testimonials, social media dialogue, likes, etc. — companies need an easy way to track and manage everything in one place.”

Jaroop will continue to run ServiceKick and address the needs of its existing customer-base, as it further builds upon the software and integrates it with its other technologies. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jaroop was founded in 2010 by Sean Taylor and Christopher Shields. The company designs, develops, licences and deploys web applications and web-based software for businesses, across a number of industries and around the world. Jaroop recently launched online sales proposal software ClientSky and was selected as one of CT Innovations top Tech Companies to Watch.
