4WD is a great new sponsor that came onboard this year. They’re big in the Jeep market and have wanted to win this amazing off-road race.
Columbiana, OH (PRWEB) February 04, 2014
4WD, prominent provider of aftermarket Jeep parts and accessories, is proudly joining forces with BFGoodrich to sponsor a car racing at the 2014 King of the Hammers. Driver Brent Goegebuer will race the custom-made buggy through the Johnson Valley, California desert to try to capture the scepter for Team 4WD/BFG. The big race happens this Friday, February 7 at the ULTRA4 2014 Griffin King of The Hammers presented by Nitto Tire.
“I’m happy to run this car for 4WD/BFG at King of the Hammers,” says Goegebuer, Marketing Director at Transamerican Auto Parts. “4WD is a great new sponsor that came onboard this year. They’re big in the Jeep market and have wanted to win this amazing off-road race.”
The buggy features a fabrication unlimited squared chassis and its upgraded with larger King bypass shocks in the front to keep the front from bottoming out. Last year, Goegebuer competed in the King of the Hammers race, but didn’t finish. He broke a drive shaft and his co-driver hiked a couple of miles for a replacement. The freak accident put him among the majority of racers who didn’t finish.
At the 2014 King of the Hammers, the 4WD/BFG-sponsored car will run:
- An LS3 Chevy Motor
- Currie Axles (Rock Jock 60s)
- Rigid Lights
- 4WD/BFG Tires
- G2 Axles
Counted among the fastest growing motorsports in the United States, ULTRA4 racing is growing in popularity. ULTRA4 began seven years ago and currently over 350 cars compete every year in racing events staged worldwide.
