Industry Analyst Jeff Kagan on Sprint Cutting Wireless Bills in Half Event
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 02, 2014 -- Sprint announced today their offer to cut AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless bills in half, according to their press release, Dec. 2.
Industry analyst Jeff Kagan offers comment.
“The new Sprint is really starting to get attention over the last few months as they start to gain momentum as the low cost leader in the wireless space,” says Wireless Analyst Jeff Kagan.
T-Mobile is successfully taking this same path over the last year and has been seeing growth. Sprint is taking a similar approach, but has an advantage over T-Mobile. Sprint has a much better and wider network.
This Sprint plan is focused on AT&T and Verizon customers.
“This is an attractive sounding offer and could be successful for Sprint if they continue advertise and market it well and successfully redefine their brand,” says Telecom Analyst Kagan.
Over recent months, the new Sprint has been thinking of all sorts of new ways to punch its way back into the fight for wireless customers against AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.
“Sprint is in the process of redefining their image and brand in the marketplace. So far over the last few months they have been doing a good job at this. Let's hope they keep building in this area,” says Kagan.
“I think Sprint could become very successful with this new, low cost approach as the next few quarters unfold. It will be interesting to see who they win business from,” says Kagan.
