Industry Analyst Jeff Kagan: Why Didn't Fliers on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Call or Text
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 21, 2014 -- Industry analyst Jeff Kagan writes about the unanswered question in his recent E-Commerce Times Column titled, “Why Didn’t Fliers on Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Call or Text?” This column was published Thursday March 20.
The question is why there were no calls, text messages or emails from the passengers. And why family couldn’t connect when calling their cellphones.
E-Commerce Times summarized the column as follows. “If there were no messages received, does it mean the plane experienced a sudden catastrophe? Based on the latest news accounts, the answer seems to be no. The plane flew off course for several hours. So why didn't anyone send messages? Were they unable to? Were they unconscious? There's speculation that a sudden elevation change could have knocked everyone out quickly. Is that what happened?”
“This remains one of the saddest and most curious parts of this story. What happened to the travelers? Why didn’t they or why couldn’t they get a message out? And why couldn’t family reach them?” asks Tech analyst Jeff Kagan.
During the last week wireless analyst Jeff Kagan has appeared on many television and radio news shows including NBC, CNN with Wolf Blitzer, FOX News with Megyn Kelly, and an assortment of other shows on national networks.
The same questions are continually asked about why passengers didn’t make calls from their cell phones or why family calls to them never connected come up time after time. However there are no answers.
In this new column Kagan asks new questions about the satellite phones on the plane itself, and the wireless Internet access which would allow text messages and email to be sent and received.
