Jerry Knoelke’s New Book Defines Math-problem-solving Process
INNSBROOK, Mo. (PRWEB) May 23, 2014 -- Author Jerry Knoelke enjoys math, but he knows not everyone shares this sentiment. In his new book, “Math Is Not Mystical: PRESS to Make Math Simple” (published by Balboa Press), Knoelke offers readers a five-step process for simplifying math-problem-solving so anyone can start to enjoy math.
“When I started teaching math at the high-school level, I would start out each year by asking the students to define math,” Knoelke says. “Most had no concept of how to even describe math. So I set out to define basic math.”
“Math Is Not Mystical” introduces Knoelke’s process for approaching math problems. He calls his process PRESS – an acronym for the five steps Knoelke says will reduce problems in any branch of mathematics to simple arithmetic.
Knoelke asserts that there are seven branches of basic math. Each branch has dozens of concepts and each concept has a formula at its heart. He explains how all these concepts are simplified by his PRESS process. He says PRESS will help readers reduce any math problem to simple arithmetic, for any concept of math, from words to an answer, in just five simple steps. He says that if readers learn the five steps of PRESS, they will conquer math.
“Math, with PRESS, will help you develop a more logical mind,” Knoelke says. “The world needs everyone to be logical.”
