About the Author
After a short career as a law enforcement officer and investigator, Joe Lategan worked in the international tourism industry for more than 25 years where he still consults as a Tourism Risk Specialist from design to disaster. Around 10 years ago, after having gone through the extremely difficult period in the tourism industry in Southern Africa due to violence and political instability of the ‘80s and ‘90s, Joe decided to change his lifestyle. He decided to pursue his dreams and traded in his office in Sandton, the money and regular flight tickets for an off road vehicle, camera and safari equipment to start a full time career in photography, filming and exclusive fly-fishing holidays although still operating as a International authority on Tourism risk management and driving cost leadership programs in the Tourism Industry today.
