Georgetown, Texas (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- Author and seasoned pastor Joseph Way knows that every passage of Scripture is vital to one’s understanding of God. In his new book, “Could It Be?: Biblical Gems from the Garbage Dump” (published by Trafford Publishing), Way looks at 12 passages that are often forgotten or misread and shows they can be applied to modern life.
“As a pastor,” explains Way, “I am often confronted by people who considered these passages as totally inapplicable to modern life and discarded them as useless. They relegated them to the religious garbage dump. I wanted to show they are as applicable today as they ever were and to reveal they are also often our story, too, if we only substitute our name for those in the stories.”
Way’s book breathes new life into 12 seemingly useless and inapplicable passages from the Bible. By reexamining and offering new interpretations of these passages, Way teaches reader to approach the Bible from different angles and see how miraculous events happen more and more often in life than initially perceived. He also inspires readers to not give up on passages that seem incomprehensible.
Way encourages readers to look around them and see God’s work in their everyday lives. “Scripture is no longer stories about God’s action among ancient people who have no connection to us, but rather it affirms God’s repeated everyday action in our midset.”
